The New York Yankees placed Mussina on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a strained right groin. This is his second groin problem this summer. The team is targeting his return for Sept. 2 when the team faces the Minnesota Twins. The 37-year-old is 13-5 with a 3.61 ERA.
