Cameron was activated from the 15-day disabled list by San Diego on Sunday and the center fielder started against the New York Mets. Cameron had been sidelined with a strained left oblique and missed the Padres' first 17 games. He batted a career-high .273 with 12 homers and 39 RBIs in 76 games for the Mets last season.
