Castro has been bothered by a wrist injury this spring, but the Twins' infielder played in a minor league game on Friday. (Updated 3/24/2006) Analysis: That's good news for the Twins. Ideally Castro would be a backup infielder, but Jason Bartlett's shaky defensive game could move Castro into a starting role for Minnesota. The Twins don't have options within the system beyond Barlett, Castro, Nick Punto and Luis Rodriguez. The candidates either offer a decent bat or a decent glove. None offers both.
