Counsell returned to the Arizona Diamondbacks lineup on Wednesday. He did not have an official at-bat after being hit by a pitch when he came in as a pinch-hitter. The Diamondbacks infielder had been on the disabled list with a broken rib since July 31 and has been bothered by a tight hamstring recently.
