The Brewers acquired Graffanino from the Royals on Tuesday in exchange for left-hander Jorge De La Rosa. Graffanino, who can play all four infield positions, will be in Milwaukee for Wednesday's game against the Pirates, according to general manager Doug Melvin. "He's someone who can help us as we're getting through this injury bug right now," Melvin said. (Updated 7/26/2006) Analysis: The 34-year-old Graffanino was hitting .268 with five homers and 32 RBIs in 69 games for the Royals this season. The Brewers can use Graffanino's help as shortstop J.J. Hardy, third baseman Corey Koskie and second baseman Rickie Weeks have all been plagued with injuries.
