The Brewers acquired Cordero from the Rangers on Friday in a six-player deal that also sent All-Star Carlos Lee to Texas. Cordero, a right-handed reliever, was 7-4 with six saves and a 4.81 ERA in 49 appearances for the Rangers this season. He was the Texas closer until he set a major league record with five blown saves in April.
