The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded Cintron to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for rookie right-hander Jeff Bajenaru. Cintron batted .273 with eight homers and 48 RBIs in 122 games for the Diamondbacks in 2005. (Updated 3/8/2006) Analysis: Cintron seemed to blossom into an everyday player in 2003, when the middle infielder batted .317 with 26 doubles, 13 home runs and 70 runs scored in 117 games. But he slumped in 2004 and no longer fit into Arizona's long-term plans with prospects Stephen Drew and Justin Upton in the system.
