De la Rosa was traded by the Brewers to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday for infielder Tony Graffanino.

Analysis: De la Rosa, 25, was 2-2 with an 8.60 ERA in 18 games for Milwaukee. He has been on the disabled list since June 10 with blisters on his left hand, but did pitch for Triple-A Nashville on Monday in a rehab assignment. He is 4-7 with a 6.23 ERA in 61 career games, including eight starts.
