Marte, the key player in Cleveland's trade of outfielder Coco Crisp to the Boston Red Sox last winter, was recalled by the Indians from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday. Before the Indians acquired Marte in a seven-player deal, he was rated the top prospect in Boston's system by Baseball America. In two stints with the Indians, he batted .206 with eight RBIs in 33 games.
