His major league debut in 2006 may be delayed after Young was suspended for 50 games without pay for throwing a bat that hit a replacement umpire in the chest. The Triple-A International League announced the penalty Tuesday, and it will be retroactive to April 27 -- the day after Young tossed his bat in a Triple-A game while playing for Durham. The 20-year-old outfielder also has agreed to perform at least 50 hours of community service. (Updated 5/9/2006) Analysis: Young can return June 19. The Devil Rays expect the 20-year-old Young, arguably the best prospect in the game, to show up at the team's minor league complex this week to resume his training. Young was batting .329 with 14 runs scored in 21 games for Durham.
