Bayliss was recalled by Pittsburgh from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday. The 25-year-old right-hander was 3-1 with a 1.77 ERA in 27 games for the Indians.

Analysis: Bayliss made 11 appearances for Kansas City last season posting a 4.63 ERA through 11 2-3 innings before being acquired by the Pirates in an offseason trade that sent pitcher Mark Redman to the Royals.
