James was recalled from Triple-A Richmond and will start Sunday when Atlanta visits Tampa Bay. The Braves' left-hander has made seven relief appearances this season, but will be making his first major league start. James, who has a 2.38 ERA through 11 1-3 innings, has not taken the mound for Atlanta since May 5 after being sidelined with a strained right hamstring.
