Jeff McInnis
Tests have revealed that McInnis has torn cartilage in his left knee, an injury suffered in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets' guard, who is averaging just 5.3 points, 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 28 games this season, will need surgery to repair the damage and will be sidelined indefinitely, according to the team.

Analysis: McInnis was expected to supply the Nets with an experienced backup behind starting point guard Jason Kidd this season, but due to inconsistent play, he was recently surpassed on the depth chart by Jacque Vaughn.
