Anthony Carter
Carter was arrested early Friday on suspicion of drunken driving and was being held in the Hennepin County jail. The Minnesota Timberwolves' reserve point guard has a previous DWI in California in the last 10 years so he faces a gross misdemeanor charge. Timberwolves vice president Kevin McHale said in a statement issued by the team disciplinary action will be determined once further details are made clear through the legal system.

Analysis: Carter is averaging 3.6 points and 2.4 assists per game. He said in a statement through his attorney he wanted to "minimize the distraction that this incident may cause" and that this was his "responsibility to deal with." He hasn't played since tallying one rebound and one turnover in almost five minutes of play in Minnesota's 111-100 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 28.
