J.R. Smith
Smith and P.J. Brown will be traded from New Orleans to Chicago, both teams said on Wednesday. The trade can't be completed until next week, when the NBA's moratorium ends. Smith was the Hornets' first-round pick in 2004 out of St. Benedict's Prep in New Jersey and had a solid rookie season, but fell out of favor with the coaching staff in his second season.

Analysis: The shooting guard averaged 7.7 points in 55 games. He started 24 of the first 25 games, but after being removed from the lineup in early January, he and the coaching staff became at odds with each other. A fresh start in Chicago should help the talented Smith get back on track.
