Drew Brees
The Saints won the Drew Brees free-agent sweepstakes, signing the quarterback to a six-year deal worth $60 million, $10 million of which is guaranteed. The signing probably means the end of Aaron Brooks' stay in New Oreleans and could impact the Saints' draft strategy. Brees chose New Orleans over the Miami Dolphins. Looks like the Philip Rivers era is officially about to begin in San Diego.

Analysis: After receiving the franchise tag before the start of last season, Brees completed 323 of 500 passes for 3,576 yards and 24 touchdowns. Brees threw 15 interceptions. The former Purdue quarterback had played his entire five-season career with the Chargers.
