| The Atlanta Falcons traded Duckett to the Washington Redskins in a three-team deal early Wednesday that sent Denver Broncos receiver Ashley Lelie to the Falcons in exchange for Washington's 2007 third round draft pick. Duckett and Lelie were involved in the same deal after being taken with consecutive first round picks in 2002. |

| Analysis: The Redskins had bee shopping for a running back since star Clinton Portis partially dislocated his shoulder in the preseason opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Falcons needed a replacement for No. 3 receiver Brian Finnerman who was lost to a season-ending knee injury in the early days of training camp. Lelie was the NFL's leader in yards per catch in 2004 but held out of training camp this year in hopes of forcing a trade. |
