Chester Taylor
The Minnesota Vikings made two moves that they hope will boost their running game. They signed former Baltimore Ravens running back Chester Taylor to a four-year deal worth $14.1 million, including a guaranteed $5.6 million. The Vikings also signed Seattle Seahawks' All-Pro guard Steve Hutchinson to an offer sheet worth $49 million over seven years. This might be too pricey for the Seahawks to match, considering Hutchinson's cap number will be $13 million for 2006.

Analysis: The move could provide stability for the Vikings' running game. Taylor ran for 487 yards on 117 carries and caught 41 passes for 292 yards and a score. With Taylor, Mewelde Moore and Ciatrick Fason on the roster, Onterrio Smith's days are probably numbered in Minnesota.
