Shawn Bates
The Islanders announced Monday that Bates will be out four to five weeks with a strained hamstring. He was hurt in the closing moments of a 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Analysis: This is bad news for Bates owners. He had eight goals in his last seven games, including two against the Panthers. The 30-year-old has 10 goals in 17 games this season. New York recalled Jeremy Colliton from the Bridgeport Sound of the AHL to fill Bates' roster spot.
