Peter Schaefer
Schaefer agreed to a four-year, $8.4 million contract with the Ottawa Senators. The veteran left wing will earn $1.7 million next season and $2.1, $2.3 million and $2.3 million in the remaining seasons of the new deal. Schaefer earned $988,000 last season when he posted career highs in goals (20), assists (30) and penalty minutes (40) while playing all 82 games for the Senators.
