Niclas Havelid
The Atlanta Thrashers agreed to a three-year contract Wednesday with Havelid though financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In his first season with Atlanta, the Thrashers' defenseman finished with four goals and 28 assists while appearing in all 82 games. He was also second among team defenseman in assists and third in both goals and points.

Analysis: Havelid was acquired from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in a trade for Kurtis Foster in June 2004 and has recorded 28 goals and 89 assists in 392 games with the two teams.
