Toni Lydman
Lydman agreed to a four-year, $11.5 million deal with the Sabres on Thursday shortly before his arbitration hearing was scheduled to begin. A five-year NHL veteran, Lydman will make $2.3 million next season, $2.9 million in 2007-08 and $3.15 million in each of his final two years. He made $1.9 million last season.

Analysis: Lydman, 28, had one goal and 16 assists in 75 games with Buffalo last season, his first with the Sabres after spending four with the Calgary Flames. The defenseman has 20 goals and 90 assists in 364 career games.
