Mike York
York was awarded an $800,000 raise Saturday in salary arbitration, the first setback in the tenure of new Islanders general manager Garth Snow. York, acquired before last season from the Edmonton Oilers for former New York captain Michael Peca, avoided arbitration a year ago when he signed a $2.05 million contract.

Analysis: York had 13 goals and 39 assists in 75 games with the Islanders, but turned that into a $2.85 million award following Thursday's arbitration hearing.
