Ric Jackman
The Panthers re-signed Jackman to a one-year contract on Friday, avoiding arbitration. The 26-year-old defenseman played 15 games for Florida last season after being acquired from Pittsburgh on March 9. Jackman recorded seven goals and 23 asissts in a career-high 64 total games last season. "He is a skilled and hard working defensive player who will play an important role in the team's success this season," Panthers general manager Mike Keenan said in a statement.
