Niklas Kronwall
Kronwall will miss four to six months with a knee injury he suffered in an exhibition game on Tuesday. Detroit will be without a key defenseman after the second-year player sustained a torn ACL and a partially torn MCL. There's still a chance he could have season-ending surgery, however, the decision has yet to be made. As a rookie in 2003-04, he tallied five points and was plus-5 in 20 games.
