| A decision awaits the San Jose front office, as Evgeni Nabokov is close to returning to the Sharks' goal. Schaefer has been playing in front of Vesa Toskala, and he's been playing quite well. In his first six NHL games -- since both Nabokov and Toskala were felled by injuries -- Schaefer has gone 5-1-0 with a 1.94 goals-against average and .916 save percentage. |

| Analysis: All three goaltenders made the trip to Denver for Tuesday night's game against Colorado, as Nabokov's status was uncertain at flight time. Unless Nabokov is given the start, Schaefer is likely to be in goal for the Sharks. But Nabokov could be back Saturday to face Dallas. |
