Stephen Weiss
Weiss learned on Monday that a torn ligament in his left wrist may sideline him for the rest of the regular season. The Panthers' center went in for an MRI exam that confirmed the tear, and he is scheduled to undergo surgery this week. Weiss had missed the past four games, but said he didn't know when the injury occurred.

Analysis: The fourth-overall pick in the 2001 draft, Weiss has nine goals and 12 assists in 41 games this season.
