Jaromir Jagr
Jagr won the Lester B. Pearson Trophy as the players' choice for most outstanding player on Thursday. The Rangers right wing finished with 54 goals and 69 assists, both New York records, and helped the Rangers make the playoffs for the first time since 1997. He finished second in the MVP voting to San Jose's Joe Thornton.

Analysis: Jagr finished second in points to Thornton, who had 125, and second in goals to Thornton's teammate, Jonathan Cheechoo, who had 56. He was the MVP in 1999 with Pittsburgh.
