Aaron Ward
Ward signed a free-agent deal with the New York Rangers on Monday. The 33-year-old defenseman played a key role in helping the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup championship last month. Ward scored twice in the postseason run, including the opening goal in Game 7, and added three assists. He had career highs with six goals and 25 points during 71 regular-season games and was 13th in the NHL with 164 blocked shots.
