Chris Osgood
The Detroit News reported that Osgood will start his second straight game against the Washington Capitals on Friday. The 33-year-old goaltender stopped 25 shots for the Red Wings in a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

Analysis: Osgood has earned a 5-2-2 record with a 3.10 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in nine games for the Red Wings this season. Starting goaltender Manny Legace is expected to miss a couple more weeks, so Osgood and Jimmy Howard will continue to fill the role.
